The faces you are seeing on these pictures are people the Lord showed me in a dream on September 27, 2014 before I ever met them.
This is what I saw in the dream. I went to visit a baptist church in a small village called "Casse", near the city of Lascahobas, located in the central region of Haiti. The saints of the church somehow knew about my visit and received me with great joy and expectation. Upon my arrival there, I spoke with the church pastor, and he gave me permission to address the church and share my vision with them.
After the service ended, as I was leaving the community, some children of the church were holding on to my garment in an expression of love, as if they wanted me to stay with them. I saw great joy on the faces of the older people. They told me that they were so happy that I came to help them.
I also promised the pastor that I will try to support the elderly and widows with a bi-monthly contribution.
That was the dream!
When I woke up, I knew immediately in my heart that it was an assignment the Lord has laid before me, which promptly moved me to contact a friend in Haiti to find out if there was indeed a baptist church in Casse. He helped me locate the church.
I visited the church on December 7, 2014. I could not be any happier to see that everything the Lord had shown me in the dream was what I experienced during my visit. I met with the pastor, as in the dream, and he gave me permission to address the church and encourage the brethren with the words of the Lord. I left the saints with the hope that I will continue to work with them and provide for the elderly who received me with great love and joy.
This is how DEW, Doxa Elders & Widows ministry was born.
To date, by God's grace, the ministry has been providing modest assistance to the church to help the elderly, widows, and other people in need. By His grace as well, DEW has contributed to make the ceremony and celebration of marriage a reality for 10 couples who could not do so. They celebrated their marriages with joy and great dignity.
It does not take much to make a positive and lasting impact in the lives of people in need. It only takes placing what little we have in the hands of God.
Friends, if you feel lead by the Lord, maybe you can seize this opportunity to partner with Doxa for DEW to impact more lives in the community of Casse.
